Advertiser & Lending Disclosure

We are a free loan-matching service, not a lender. Here is exactly how we are paid, how offers appear and what to know about cost and risk before you borrow.

Please read this disclosure before you submit a request through our website. It explains who we are, how we earn money, how lender offers work and what borrowing may cost you.

We are not a lender

Our website, everestfundings.com, operates a free loan-matching service and is not a lender. We do not make loans, make credit decisions, set rates or terms, or broker loans on your behalf in any state.

When you complete our request form, the information you provide may be shared with lenders and lending partners in our network. Each lender decides independently whether to make you an offer, how much to offer, and on what terms. Any loan agreement you sign is between you and the lender, and the lender is responsible for servicing the loan and answering questions about it.

No affiliation with similarly named companies

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Everest Business Funding or any other company with a similar name. Our website, everestfundings.com, is an independent loan-matching service.

If you are looking for a specific merchant cash advance provider or another business with a similar name, please contact that company directly. Our site does not represent, partner with or act for any such company, and nothing on our pages should be read as a reference to one.

How we are compensated

Lenders and marketing partners in our network may compensate us, for example when they receive a request from our site or when a borrower is connected with them. Using our service is always free for you.

Compensation may influence which lenders or offers appear to you and the order in which they appear. It does not influence our editorial content: our guides, cost examples, calculator assumptions and warnings are written independently, and partners do not approve them before publication. You are never required to accept any offer, and declining an offer costs you nothing.

Not every lender or offer is included

Our network does not include every lender or every loan product available in the market. Other lenders, banks, credit unions or programs may offer terms that suit you better.

We encourage you to compare offers from several sources, including your own bank or credit union, before you commit. Our lender comparison page covers a set of small lenders, but it is not a complete survey of the market.

Terms vary by lender and state

Loan amounts, interest rates, fees, repayment terms and eligibility rules are set by each lender and are limited by the laws of the state where you live. Some products are not available in every state.

Lenders in our network typically consider requests from $500 to $5,000 with repayment terms of roughly 3 to 36 months. Some lenders charge an origination fee, which may be deducted from the amount you receive. Always read the lender's full loan agreement and its required federal Truth in Lending disclosures before you sign.

Typical APR ranges

Many borrowers who receive an offer through lenders in our network see annual percentage rates of roughly 18% to 36%. Your APR may be lower or higher depending on your credit, income, loan amount and state.

Borrowers with strong credit may qualify for rates below that range from some lenders. Where state law allows, some lenders may charge more than 36% APR, especially for smaller amounts or limited credit histories. We do not set or control any APR. Our guide to personal loan rates explains what moves an APR up or down.

Representative example

A representative example: borrowing $2,000 for 12 months at 24.89% APR would mean estimated payments of about $189.98 per month and about $2,279.78 repaid in total.

This example assumes a fixed rate, equal monthly payments, no origination fee and on-time payment of every installment. It is an estimate only. Your actual amount, APR, fees, term and payment come from the lender and may differ. You can test other scenarios with our personal loan calculator.

No guarantee of approval

Submitting a request does not guarantee that you will be approved or receive an offer. Approval, loan amount and terms depend entirely on each lender's review of your information.

Lenders may verify your identity, income, bank account and credit history. Funding times also vary by lender and bank and are not guaranteed, even after you accept an offer.

Consequences of late or missed payments

Paying late or missing a payment can be costly. Depending on your agreement and state law, a lender may charge late fees, returned-payment fees or additional interest on the unpaid balance.

A lender may also report late or missed payments to one or more credit bureaus, which can lower your credit score and make future borrowing harder or more expensive. If an account stays unpaid, the lender may refer it to a collection agency or take other collection steps allowed by law. If you expect trouble making a payment, contact your lender before the due date to ask about options.

Renewal and extension policies

Renewal, extension and refinancing policies are set by each lender and differ widely. Some lenders do not offer renewals at all, while others allow them only under specific conditions and state rules.

Extending or renewing a loan usually increases the total interest and fees you pay. Read your agreement for the lender's exact policy and ask the lender directly before you agree to any change.

Credit inquiries and your information

Sharing your request with lenders may lead to credit checks. Many lenders start with a soft inquiry, which does not affect your credit score, but a lender may run a hard inquiry before final approval.

A hard inquiry can lower your score by a few points for a period of time. Lenders and partners who receive your information may also contact you by email, phone or text about your request. How we collect and share your details is explained in our privacy policy.
