Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, who receives it when you submit a request, and the choices you have over your personal information.

This policy was last reviewed in October. This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of everestfundings.com ("we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit our website or submit a request through our loan-matching service. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us on the request form, information about your device and how you use our site, and information gathered through cookies and similar technologies.

Information you provide

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and mailing address
  • Request details such as the loan amount you want and the reason for the request
  • Financial details such as income, employment status, pay frequency and checking account information
  • Identity details lenders typically need, such as date of birth and Social Security number
  • Anything you include when you email, call or write to us

Device and usage information

When you visit, we and our service providers automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time spent on pages and approximate location derived from your IP address.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your preferences, measure traffic and understand which pages are helpful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work properly without them.

How we use your information

We use your information to process your request, connect you with lenders and partners, run and improve our website, communicate with you, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.

  • To share your request with lenders who may review it and contact you
  • To verify information and help detect fraud, spam and misuse
  • To respond to your questions and support requests
  • To send service messages and, where permitted, marketing messages about financial products
  • To analyze site performance and improve our pages and request form
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms of use and protect our rights

How we share information

When you submit a request, we share the information you provide with lenders and lending partners in our network so they can review your request, verify your details and contact you about possible offers.

Lenders who receive your information may run credit checks, contact you by phone, email or text, and keep your information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to read each lender's privacy notice before you accept an offer.

We may also share information with:

  • Service providers that host our site, store data, send messages, analyze traffic or help prevent fraud, under contracts that limit how they may use it
  • Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena or court order, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others
  • A successor business if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy

We do not sell your information in the sense of trading lists to unrelated companies for cash. Sharing your request with lenders and partners who may compensate us is part of how our service works, as explained in our advertiser and lending disclosure.

Marketing messages and opting out

You can opt out of marketing messages from us at any time. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the site, and we may still send messages related to a request you made.

  • Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Reply STOP to any marketing text message.
  • Ask to be added to our internal do-not-call list during any call, or email us your phone number.

Lenders that already received your request manage their own marketing lists. To stop their messages, contact each lender directly.

How we protect your data

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections for the request form and restricted access to stored data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please protect your own devices and passwords, and never share your Social Security number or bank details by ordinary email.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide our service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, keep required records and meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it so it can no longer reasonably be linked to you.

Your choices and state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising.

Residents of California and a growing number of other states have specific privacy rights under state law, which may include the right to know what categories of information we collect and share, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Some financial information is governed by federal privacy rules instead of state law.

To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you want to use. We will verify your identity before acting, and you may use an authorized agent where state law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

Children's privacy

Our website and service are intended only for adults who meet the age of majority in their state. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or allow minors to submit requests.

If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our service or the law. The updated version will be posted on this page.

When changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as a notice on our home page. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
